Kuusamo (2) 2005/6

Jakub Janda soared to a first round jump of 146.0m to set up his second World Cup victory. The 27 year-old Czech put in a safe jump of just under 130m to seal his win with 14 points to spare over his nearest rival.

That nearest rival was Japan's Takanobu Okabe. He must have thought his first round effort of 137.5m was going to put him in contention to record his first individual win in seven seasons.

The second round was the domain of the Norwegians as both Roar Ljoekelsoey and Bjorn Einar Romoeren took large jumps up the standings with impressive jumps the second time of asking. For Romoeren it was enough to earn him the last spot on the podium.

The winner of the first event Andreas Kuettel came in 5th, and reigning champ Janne Ahonen languished in 11th.
